CDL Class A

Tractor-Trailer Truck Driving Training Program
If you’re looking for a stable and high-paying career, become a tractor-trailer truck driver. We teach you the skills to pass the written and practical tests required to earn your Class A CDL and legally operate a CMV.

CDL Class B (Passenger and/or School Bus Endorsement)

Bus and School Bus Driving Training Program
Seize the opportunity to become a bus driver and have a lucrative career. We train you to pass the written and practical portions of the New-Jersey-administered exams for your Class B CDL, so you can legally drive buses. You can complete your training in either bus driving or school bus driving.
We prepare you for ELDT, including classroom and behind-the-wheel training. With our guidance, you’ll be ready to operate a CMV and apply for entry-level positions as a bus or school bus driver.

CDL Class B (Straight Truck)

Straight Truck Driving Training Program
IDS prepares you for the CDL exams in New Jersey so you can become a truck driver with a high salary and job security. Complete the ELDT, including classroom and behind-the-wheel training, to learn how to operate a CMV and prepare for entry-level positions as a truck driver.

Teen Driver Education

Be ready to take your road test after training with us. Our experienced instructors will help you learn the right way to handle a car safely and effectively while also mastering the rules of the road. Whether you are a teen yourself or the parent of a teen, you can feel safe and secure with IDS.
We provide behind-the-wheel instruction for hundreds of teens each year, and over 95% of our students pass on the first try. Our instructors help you gain confidence in your skills and ensure you feel safe and comfortable in the vehicle.
Behind-the-Wheel Training
To begin behind-the-wheel training with IDS, you must be 16 years old or older and have your learner’s permit.
Our behind-the-wheel lessons count towards supervised driving while you prepare for your road test. If you’re 16 to 21 years of age, you’ll need to spend six months learning before you can take the road test. We’ll develop your driving skills, teach you all safety precautions, and ensure you know the rules of the road for safe driving. Let us help you master the skills you need more confidence in.

Class D Auto License

Get Ready for a Lifetime of Safe Driving
IDS helps new learners become great drivers by providing comprehensive programs taught by knowledgeable instructors. We teach traffic rules and regulations so you can be ready for the written test. We also help you practice all the necessary skills and help you identify the ones you need to work on to pass the road test and gain independence. Our behind-the-wheel driver education program follows New Jersey State requirements.
  • You must be 17 years old or older.
  • You must have your learner’s permit.
Supervised Driving
Supervised driving is necessary to qualify for the road test. Six months of supervised driving is required for students under 21. If you are over 21, you need three months of supervised driving.
There are no minimum hours of supervised driving, but our many packages will provide the right fit. Most packages include the use of our vehicle for your road test.
When you choose a package, please note that a session lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes. The road test session includes a quick review. (It is not a lesson).

In each session, your instructor will work on specific skills and give you recommendations to practice for the next session.

Test Prep

IDS is certified by the state of New Jersey to administer the written test and perform eye exams for 16-year-old student drivers and issue new school cards to those who have lost, misplaced, or never received the opportunity to attain a card from the school.
